Why AdminBolt exists
Hosting used to be a business where independent providers could compete. You built infrastructure, you found customers, you grew. The margins were real. The energy was real.
That changed.
Control panel vendors started treating hosting providers as a captive audience. Prices went up, not because the product got better, but because switching costs made it easy to charge more. Per-account fees. Per-server fees. Annual hikes. The margin that used to belong to hosting companies started flowing upward to panel vendors instead.
Meanwhile, the big platforms kept pulling customers away from independent hosters. They could afford to. They weren't paying per-account licensing fees on their own infrastructure.
The independent hosting provider was caught in the middle. Paying more every year for software that hadn't fundamentally changed in two decades. Competing against companies that had no such burden.
We built AdminBolt because we believe the hosting industry deserves better than that. Not a reskin. Not a fork. A panel built from scratch for how hosting actually works today: with pricing that lets providers keep their margin, architecture that enables automation, and a roadmap that's pointed at the future instead of the past.
